Gratitude & Communication
are the keys to a happy life, I believe. Counting blessings is one of the best things a person can do, in my opinion. Being mindful of the good in one's life - from big things like good health to simple things like sun-ripened blackberries, picked fresh off the briars - keeps one's mind in a positive place. Folks much smarter than I have written all sorts of books and articles on the benefits of a positive mindset. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel; I'm just an enthusiastic member of the band, so to speak. So here on this blog, I strive to share positive things, or impactful things that will (hopefully) help folks consider ways we can make the world a better place.
Good communication helps each of us as individuals connect with the world around us. My preferred form of communication is writing. I've written some poetry. I've written some music. I've written some books. I've written some things on social media; each one I started with, "File Under: Lessons Learned . . ." and quite a few folks encouraged me to create a blog. So here it is. I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts. Some of my ramblings may seem trivial, some may seem inflammatory; hopefully all of them will touch you in some way, or make you think, or question, or take action, or something. I guess, at the heart of it all, I hope anyone who visits this blog feels better for having done so. Blessings to you.
On Gratitude . . .
As a writer, one thing I am sure of is this: an author without an audience is a lonely creature, indeed. So thank you for investing some of today's 86,400 irretrievable seconds reading my blog. I hope everyone who visits here leaves feeling happier or wiser than when they arrived. If that's the case, I have achieved my lifelong goal of helping inspire and uplift others. God bless you.
